Learn about Giclée’s
Imagine owning a museum-quality fine art reproduction that truly looks like the original – with the printing technique known as giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) you can. A Giclée (a French term meaning to spray) is a term coined for fine art digital prints made on specialized large format inkjet printers using 12 colors of archival pigment-based inks printed in extremely high-resolution on archival quality canvas or paper. Our gallery uses thick archival canvas to print on – which means it is acid free and will maintain its beauty and color longer.
Our giclée prints are limited editions – we will create only 150 of the print and each are numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
Embellishment makes a Giclée more valuable and personalized.
As with any original painting, embellishing each giclée offers a unique outcome. Embellishment is a way for an artist to make a print more dynamic and even more beautiful by adding personal touches to the giclée after printing. Because the artist is telling their story, with each brush stroke the giclée becomes an original work of art unto itself – making the work more valuable.
The best part of owning an embellished giclée? By buying an embellished giclée, you are purchasing a unique piece of art that sits between a print and an original at a fraction of the cost.
